About ICC
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Bapuji Institute of Hi-Tech Education (BIHE), Davangere is constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The Committee is committed to providing a safe, secure, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students, faculty, and staff members of the institution.
Objectives
- To prevent and prohibit sexual harassment within the campus.
- To promote gender equality, dignity, and mutual respect among all members of the institution.
- To create awareness regarding the prevention of sexual harassment and related issues.
- To provide a fair, confidential, and accessible mechanism for addressing complaints.
- To ensure a safe and conducive environment for learning and professional growth.
Functions of the ICC
- To receive and address complaints related to sexual harassment.
- To conduct impartial and confidential inquiries into complaints received.
- To recommend appropriate corrective and disciplinary measures based on inquiry findings.
- To organize awareness programs, workshops, seminars, and counseling sessions on gender sensitization and women's rights.
- To encourage individuals to report grievances without fear of discrimination or retaliation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and fair redressal of complaints.
- Maintain confidentiality throughout the complaint and inquiry process.
- Protect the rights and dignity of all parties involved.
- Maintain records of complaints and actions taken.
- Foster a culture of respect, equality, and inclusiveness on campus.
